Bible Verses About Love

Quotes about Love - Read verses that provide guidance on topics relating to love, such as relationships, marriage, family, children, strength, and love of others. Read scripture from the Holy Bible about love in relation to God, Jesus Christ, and the Christian faith.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Mark 12:31

The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Luke 6:35

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

1 Corinthians 13:13

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Ephesians 5:33

However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Proverbs 17:17

A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

1 John 4:7

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

1 John 4:8

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

MONEY SAVING TIPS

Saving is the part of  a persons's income that is not spent, for future or emergency use. For example, putting money aside in a bank, for un expected expenses such as sudden job loss, car repair etc. for future uses eg, save for retirement , kids education. Money saved  gives us security and safety.

There are so  many tips on google about money saving, but I like to share the followings;

Make a budget;  take all the monthly expenses, try to cut back or minimize the ones you can, and look  for opportunities to maximize saving. By keeping a budget  you avoid spending than you earn.

Pay yourself first ; make saving a habit, each time you get paid, deposit 10% of your income into saving account .

Make a shopping list before you go to shop, and stick to it . So that you can avoid over spending.

Try to buy things that cost less instead of things that cost more.

Don't buy into trends; keep a wardrobe of classic pieces  so that you don't need update your clothes every year.

Save your coins; empty your pockets every day and put all change in a jar, don't touch it, until a specific use.

Pause for a thought ; if you are about to buy something, which isn't a necessity, wait and think twice, before you make a purchase, give yourself a time to compare prices , or come up with a plan b, or decide not to buy.

So money can't buy  happiness but make life easier and comfortable.

TOXIC FRIENDS

"It’s easy to assume everyone you meet will have your best interests at heart, but some people are only out for themselves. Getting ensnared in a friendship with someone who doesn’t really care about you can be tough, but staying in the relationship can be even tougher. Sometimes you just need to cut ties and move on." Jessica Padykula.

A toxic friend is a friend that makes you fell bad most of the time, is a friend who brings you nothing but grief, disruption, pain, abuse and trouble.  The following are some of the signs which can tell you if your friend is toxic;

  • S/he take and you give always
  • A friend that embarrasses you in social situation in order to get attention
  • A person that constantly betrays your trust
  • Rumors started by friend  (confirmed by others) have reached your ear
  • It's seems that your friend only needs you when s/he has problems
  • S/he don't love and respect people who are important in your life
  • You are always there for them, but when you need them they are not there for you
So we need to choose people we hung around with well, if you realize that your friend is toxic  it's better to tell the truth that his behaviour is not acceptable anymore because it makes you sick, and you are willing to continue tha friendship if s/he is ready to change.

Spend time with people who bring happiness and if a toxic friend is not making any effort to stop his behaviour, it's better to quit that friendship and move on, it's stupid continuing at the expense of your happiness.

LOVE WHAT YOU DO - STEVE JOBS

Lately I have been reading  a book  titled Personal Branding  for Dummies by Susan  Chirtton, And today I was reading a chapter about Case Studies in Personal Branding Success; the chapter offered examples of public figures how they have used their talents and passions to become known for something special and to build a distinct personal brand. One among the big public figures discussed was Steve Jobs. If you didn't know Steve Jobs is one of my greatest inspiration, and one of the thing he inspired me is not to let the past define the future.

When I was reading that chapter I came across Steve Jobs's famous speech, that's Stanford Commencement Speech 2005. I have read and listen this speech a lot of time; it's short, smart, inspiring and uplifting. So that's why I have decided to share with you just a short brief of his central theme of the speech; finding a career based on your passion.  He said  " Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."

A NEW BEGINNING, 2015

“A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.” -- Colin Powell

That is how I would love to start the year 2015, making  promises  to do the best for myself. Dream big, work hard, keeping on being fit and motivated, start over and try better.
2014 was a race, I took a little reflection, save the better experiences and learn from the mistakes. My message to you today is , 'It always seems impossible until it's done" by Nelson Mandela.  I wish you nothing but joy, health, happiness, and love, in the year 2015.
