TOXIC FRIENDS

"It’s easy to assume everyone you meet will have your best interests at heart, but some people are only out for themselves. Getting ensnared in a friendship with someone who doesn’t really care about you can be tough, but staying in the relationship can be even tougher. Sometimes you just need to cut ties and move on." Jessica Padykula.

A toxic friend is a friend that makes you fell bad most of the time, is a friend who brings you nothing but grief, disruption, pain, abuse and trouble.  The following are some of the signs which can tell you if your friend is toxic;

  • S/he take and you give always
  • A friend that embarrasses you in social situation in order to get attention
  • A person that constantly betrays your trust
  • Rumors started by friend  (confirmed by others) have reached your ear
  • It's seems that your friend only needs you when s/he has problems
  • S/he don't love and respect people who are important in your life
  • You are always there for them, but when you need them they are not there for you
So we need to choose people we hung around with well, if you realize that your friend is toxic  it's better to tell the truth that his behaviour is not acceptable anymore because it makes you sick, and you are willing to continue tha friendship if s/he is ready to change.

Spend time with people who bring happiness and if a toxic friend is not making any effort to stop his behaviour, it's better to quit that friendship and move on, it's stupid continuing at the expense of your happiness.

LOVE WHAT YOU DO - STEVE JOBS

Lately I have been reading  a book  titled Personal Branding  for Dummies by Susan  Chirtton, And today I was reading a chapter about Case Studies in Personal Branding Success; the chapter offered examples of public figures how they have used their talents and passions to become known for something special and to build a distinct personal brand. One among the big public figures discussed was Steve Jobs. If you didn't know Steve Jobs is one of my greatest inspiration, and one of the thing he inspired me is not to let the past define the future.

When I was reading that chapter I came across Steve Jobs's famous speech, that's Stanford Commencement Speech 2005. I have read and listen this speech a lot of time; it's short,smart, inspiring and uplifting. So that's why I have decided to share with you just a short brief of his central theme of the speech; finding a career based on your passion.  He said  " Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."

A NEW BEGINNING, 2015

“A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and hard work.” -- Colin Powell

That is how I would love to start the year 2015, making  promises  to do the best for myself. Dream big, work hard, keeping on being fit and motivated, start over and try better.
2014 was a race, I took a little reflection, save the better experiences and learn from the mistakes. My message to you today is , 'It always seems impossible until it's done" by Nelson Mandela.  I wish you nothing but joy, health, happiness, and love, in the year 2015.
